I really like my school. The teachers are nice and I enjoy the lessons and I’ve got lots of great friends. But the best thing is the interesting and fun events we have every year. First of all, there’s Sports Day which is so much fun. We wear our sports kit and trainers. There is a football match between the kids and the teachers. Then all the kids in each class take part in different fun races like the potato race, the sack race and the egg and spoon race and there’s a wacky costume race, too. All the parents come and watch. Last year, I won the sack race. I was going so fast I almost fell over. I got a prize. I was so happy. Another fun event we have is Friendship Day. We do lots of crafts and activities on this day. They are different every year. Last year, we made friendship posters and read stories about friendship. We also made friendship bracelets and gave them to our best friends. Then, we watched a play about bullying and made posters about it and put them all around the school. I think every school should do this. The School Carnival is another event that I love. We all dress up, wear masks or paint our faces and we have a big party. The music was great. This year, I dressed as a clown. I was thinking of dressing up as an alien, but I changed my mind. Maybe next year! Then, throughout the year we also have lots of other special themed days like 'No-Uniform Day', 'Crazy-Hat Day' and, my favourite, 'No-Stress Friday'. On this day, the lessons are easy and we play a lot of games and sing songs. We can also talk about things that worry us at school and work out ways to change them. I’m very lucky that I have such a great school!
