Hi everyone! This week at my school it was Spirit Week. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s when we do fun activities in school to feel happy and proud about our school. Basically, it makes kids feel like they want to come to school instead of feeling like they need to go. We did lots of fun things. On Monday, we had a dress-up day where we all went to school dressed as a famous person from the past. Some kids were wearing clothes from fancy dress shops and others made their outfits themselves, but everyone looked great. On Tuesday, we had a charity day and we all brought tins and packets of food to school. We were collecting the food to give to people in need in our town. On Wednesday, we had an animal day. We wore animal print clothes or T-shirts with pictures of animals on. Some kids even dressed up as animals. A lot of the lessons had animals in them too. For example, in English we read ‘The Jungle Book’. Thursday was a sports day and we played different sports all day. Then on Friday, we all wore our pyjamas. That was so funny! I was laughing all day, because some of the boys were wearing their mum’s nightdresses! What about you? Do you have a Spirit Week at your school? Post a comment and tell me about it!
